Bank Frick authorised by SIX as a new crypto asset custodian

Bank Frick has been approved by SIX as a custodian for crypto assets and can thus continue to act as a custodian for crypto ETPs.

This recognition strengthens the bank's position as a leading provider of crypto services. At the same time, Bank Frick remains true to its commitment to maintaining the highest regulatory standards, thereby further strengthening clients' trust in digital assets.

More crypto assets permitted
In February 2024, SIX Exchange Regulation AG announced an update to its guidelines for the listing of crypto-asset-based products. As a result of these changes, Bank Frick was added by SIX as an official custodian. The new regulations expand the range of eligible crypto-assets and create additional investment opportunities. The requirement that custodians for these products must be licensed and supervised by FINMA or equivalent foreign supervisory authorities is also new.

Bank Frick received registration as a TT custodian from the Financial Market Authority (FMA) Liechtenstein back in 2020.
